PostSubject: Windows Server 2008 - Problems with Fallback   Wed Mar 18, 2009 7:39 am

Hi @ all,

I have following environment:

2 Windows Server 2008-fullpatched Domaincontroller (DC01, DC02) with DHCP.

The DC01 and DC02 are authorized for DHCP in my environment. I installed the DHCP-Redundancy-Service v.1.5 by the steps in the instruction-guide.

When I stop the DHCP-service on DC01, DC02 starts the service. But when I start the DHCP-service on DC01 again, the service on DC02 is also in the running-state.

I have no Exchange-server for the Redundancy-Email-Notification configured, because it is a test environment.

What could be the problem, that the DHCP-service on DC02 not stops, when I start the service on DC01?

Thank you very much for your help.

Greetz
Nico

When you start DC01 again, do you get the message: "DHCP-service on server X.X.X.X is functionalling, stopped redundant DHCP-Service" in the Application log in Event Wiever on DC02? It can take up to one minute.
