Hi there, First of all, Thanks for this great tools. It works flawlessly on Windows 2003 server.

Now, I have to move to Windows server 2008. I followed all the installation step and have no problem in installing.

Thing is the DHCP-Redundancy service does not recognize the main server and will start the secondary server.
Main server ip = 192.168.118.40
Second server ip = 192.168.118.41

On the Event Viewer, I see this Warning
"DHCP-service on server 192.168.118.40 is not functionalling, starting redundant DHCP-service".

I also tried the command that is suggested on the forum on the secondary server.
"netsh dhcp server 192.168.118.40 show server"

The result is
"The current server is 192.168.118.40 with Ip Address = 192.168.118.40"

Note that I can ping the first server from the secondary server.
The second server can also get the ip address from the main server if I set it to Obtain the IP automatically (DHCP).
The secondary server can also synchronize the backup file with no problem.

Anyone has face this problem before??

Any advise and comment are welcome and Have a great day Smile

I dont have any server 2008 installed, so I cant test it right now, but it sounds like you may have a problem with the user-right with the account that run the DHCP-redundancy service ?

Other has seccessfully installed it on server 2008:
