I'm trying to setup this tool but have run into some trouble.

It looks like the export file is being transfered fine, and the second DHCP server is authorize.

When I turn off the DHCP Server service on my primary DHCP server, there is no indication anything happened on the backup DHCP server. I've seen the following event a couple of times:

Quote :
DHCP-service on server 10.2.2.10 is functionalling, stopped redundant DHCP-Service

Once I saw this event too:

Quote :
Service cannot be started. The service process could not connect to the service controller

Thoughts?

BTW, we're using English 2003 Server Standard.

Can you manually start and stop the backup DHCP-service?

Yes, on the backup server I can start and stop the DHCP Server service at will.

Run this command from the command prompt on your backup server:

netsh dhcp server 10.2.2.10 show server

Run the command both when the main DHCP-service is up and when it is down. What output do you get?

Service on:
Quote :
The current server is 10.2.2.10 with Ip Address = 10.2.2.10

Service off:
Quote :
Unable to determine the DHCP Server version for the Server 10.2.2.10.
Server may not function properly.

I will include debugging in the service. If you send me your email in a private message, I will notify you when this is done.

Thanks for your help with this. Do you have an estimated release date?
